This shouldn’t be confused with the Spankological Protocol, the disciplinary techniques used on Ned Flanders on the TV series The Simpsons to instill good, restrained behavior. Instead, the Danceological Protocol, so I’ve read, is a technique to help release your rock n’ roll inhibitions. I personally believe that Science should stay off the dance floor! But to be honest, the Danceological Protocol, as applied in the music mix from DJ DC last Friday, seems to have worked as we rock n’ rolled all night long!
Thanks again to DJ DC for his inspiring playlist (see below). Too bad more dancers weren’t in attendance. We were expecting a larger crowd now that the weather has changed into cool autumn nights–*perfect* for dancing. If you didn’t join us this summer because of the heat, please consider returning now that the temperatures are consistently cooler. If you’re a shy dancer, please join us this fall as the earlier sun sets create a dark dance floor, allowing for greater anonymity and more experimental moves! That’s what I’m all about: “experimental” dance moves. At least, that’s the story I’m sticking to.
DJ DC is one of our male deejays who is invited to our Fall Formal dance event we’re calling Dance Dance Party Party Homecoming Coming. (That’s a mouthful!) We hope to see you there.
Do You Have a lucky Golden Ticket?
Reserve the date: Saturday October 15th at 7:30pm. Though we are calling it a Fall Formal, please feel free to dress as you like (formal attire not required) as we plan to dance for two hours on that night. Click here for the event announcement. Our event theme: Pure Imagination! We have a live DJ lined-up to spin platters and the decorating committee is hard at work creating a candy wonderland! This is THE event of the season–you don’t want to miss out!
Before then, we women will be dancing at our regular time and place: Friday Sept. 30th at 7:30pm at Martell’s Dance Studio in Highland Square, Akron. See you then!
