Wedding Singer Audio Catastrophe!

Last Friday’s dance party, August 30th, experienced its own highs and lows.  Temps were high, spirits were high, and expectations for fun were high.  Yet our troubles with the stereo and our inability to fix the blown-out bass produced some emotional lows.  At least, in me.  I was frustrated and surprised that I could barely recognize some of the 1980s hits I’ve heard a million times before.  I’m also amused how our Fifth Friday movie soundtrack night could also reflect as many emotional highs and lows as the original Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore flick!  Hahahaha.   We’re working on getting the audio adjusted–and thanks to everyone who was patient with our difficulties.

What soundtrack would you like to dance to for our next Fifth Friday Movie Soundtrack night?  We’ve already danced to Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, and The Wedding Singer.  Other suggestions have been Purple Rain, Pulp Fiction, John Hughes/1980s teen movies, and American Graffiti.  Do you have an even better suggestion? What do you think we should dance to next?  Our next Fifth Friday is in November–so let’s start thinking about it!

Come and join the party!

In the mean time, our next dance party is just a few days away!  We dance Friday, September 6th, 8pm at Martell’s School of Dance in Highland Square.  Now that the kids are back in school–it’s me time!  Come on down and join us.  I’ll see you on the dance floor.
