One of our strengths at DDPP-Akron is the vast variety of music at each of our dance parties. Each week’s event includes a unique playlist and we document these playlists on our website. You’ve seen the song database on our website, right? You can locate it on the tabs across the top of the homepage. The song database is a spreadsheet of every song ever played at one of our events–as well as every artist and every playlist. Our deejays use it to make sure they aren’t duplicating recent music mixes, and sometimes it’s used to get inspiration for upcoming music mixes. How do you use the song database?

I said “old-school,” didn’t I?

At our last dance party, Friday May 20th, we enjoyed another hot playlist.  DJ Necronomi-Tron titled his music mix “Revenge” and it was dominated by classic alternative/electronic songs. Old-school Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Oingo Boingo, Ministry and more. What a diversity in music we offer our dancers! The fun in this is that the next event will again offer an all-new playlist too. Music variety is our thing. Many thanks to DJ Necronomi-Tron for keeping us on our toes. Check out his complete playlist below:

We dance again on Friday June 3rd. You’ll be there, right? We try to start the music right at 8pm–we only dance for an hour so if you’re late, you miss out! My point? Don’t be late! Wear something comfortable and you can sweat in. The dance floor heats up! See you Friday June 3rd 🙂
