Let’s Dance!

Lady Gaga? Uhm…no.  It’s Adam Ant!

In case you missed it, last Friday March 18th we danced to a mix of mostly New Wave hits from the 1980s courtesy of DJ Prisoner  (that would be me!)  Check the playlist below to see what tunes were rocked.  Not only did every 40-Something in the room feel herself moved to the beat but I believe others enjoyed it as well.  But it was hard to tell, I had a great deal of sweat in my eyes and I was distracted by the abundance of synthesizers.  You gotta love that ’80s music!

We welcomed a couple of special guests at the last DDPP as we gear up for our special event–April 1st.  Come and join us for our ‘Funky Fresh Spring Fling‘ and dance to the hip-hop-tacular music from the early 1990s.  You’ll be instantly reminded of those heady days when we all watched twins Brenda and Brandon Walsh and their friends enjoy their high school dramas in Beverly Hills, California.  Or, maybe not.  But come and join the fun as we dance to a special mix, courtesy of our sister DDPP in Chicago, featuring New Jack Swing-style music that filled the pop music charts in the early 1990s.  In the days to come, look for a mention of DDPP in the Westside Leader newpaper and online on The Akronist.

If you are about town, you may see our flyer promoting our special event (see below).  Remember to come–and bring a friend for free!  See you there: 7:30 pm Friday April 1st at Martell’s Dance Studio.
