Nine Ladies Dancing….

    Juniper Sage


    Juniper's adopted home town of Akron, Ohio has inspired her to start many new distractions. Sometimes she starts things just to make other people do them. So, if she isn't at Square Records petting the cat, she is at her Stitch 'n' Bitch or planning a new scheme with one of her partners in crime - which, if she has her way, will eventually include everyone in Akron.
    Actually raised on the dance floor of Cracker Jack's in Canton, she mixes her love for Breakin' 2: Electric Bugaloo with a healthy dose of angst to create a "classic" dance style. Prince would approve, she hopes.

    Den Mother #2, Joanna Wilson toils as a Christmas TV expert, writing two books and a blog on the subject. In her spare time, she likes to train and race triathlon. She was once heard shouting above the loud music on the dance floor, “DDPP has transformed my life!” Some have suggested a vaccination for her infectious dance style, nonetheless she continues to rock it Old School.

    What Juniper says about DDPP

    Oddly hard to explain - there are unabashed, unashamed dancers and then there are people who wouldn't shake a tail feather if they were a chicken. Dance Dance Party is for any woman who loves to dance but has felt... ...I don't like to dress up just to get sweaty ...I am too old/too young/too hip/too unhip to go to a club ...My dance moves might be left over from high school ...I am unsure what the music the DJs are playing is supposed to make me want to do.
    It is silly. It may even be a little bit weird, but, once you have done it, you'll want to do it - ALL of the time.
    What EXACTLY do we do? A group of ladies (some strangers, some friends) gets together twice a month and dance for an hour in a big dance studio space. We wear our comfy clothes, we don't pose for each other and we don't talk (at least not much). It is really about dancing it out in a friendly environment - No booze, No boys, No judgements.
    Girl children can attend, we just can't promise the song lyrics will be clean - but we won't intentionally make them dirty:)
